Description
We're hiring a Carrier Sales Representative to expand and strengthen our carrier network. You'll source and onboard qualified carriers, negotiate spot and contract rates, and ensure we always have reliable capacity for our shipper commitments. This is a high-energy, phone-intensive role ideal for someone who loves relationship-building.
What You'll Do
- Source, negotiate, and book capacity with qualified carriers daily
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with owner-operators and fleets
- Manage carrier compliance, insurance verification, and onboarding
- Collaborate with the operations team to cover loads and meet service commitments
- Track market rate trends and provide capacity intel to the team
What You Need
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a remote environment
- Strong phone presence and persistence in follow-up
- Competitive mindset with a track record of hitting targets
- Reliable home office setup with stable internet connection
Requirements
- 1+ years of carrier sales or carrier procurement experience
- Comfortable making high-volume outbound calls daily
- Knowledge of dry van, flatbed, and intermodal markets
- Experience using DAT, Truckstop, or similar load boards
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to close under time pressure
