Laredo, TX Compliance Full-Time
Description
Join our compliance team in Laredo — one of the busiest U.S.–Mexico border crossings in the country. You'll manage customs documentation, ensure regulatory compliance for cross-border freight, and coordinate with customs brokers on both sides of the border. This role is critical to keeping our international supply chains moving without costly delays.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and review customs entries, including import/export documentation
- Classify products under the correct HTS codes and manage duty calculations
- Coordinate with licensed customs brokers and CBP on inspections and holds
- Monitor regulatory changes and update internal compliance procedures accordingly
- Liaise with operations and carrier teams to minimize border crossing delays
What You Need
- High accuracy and attention to regulatory detail
- Ability to manage multiple active entries simultaneously
- Strong communication skills with internal teams and external agencies
- Proactive approach to identifying and resolving compliance risks
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in customs brokerage or trade compliance
- Working knowledge of CBP regulations, HTS classification, and USMCA
- Experience with ACE, ABI, or similar customs entry systems
- Fluency in English required; Spanish proficiency strongly preferred
- Customs Broker License (preferred but not required)
