Description
We're looking for a driven Freight Broker to join our growing sales team in Austin. You'll build and manage shipper relationships, negotiate carrier rates, and move freight efficiently across our national network. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and love closing deals, this role is for you.
What You'll Do
- Prospect and develop new shipper accounts through cold calling and networking
- Negotiate rates with carriers to ensure competitive and profitable coverage
- Manage the full shipment lifecycle from load tendering to delivery confirmation
- Resolve service issues promptly, maintaining high customer satisfaction
- Maintain accurate load records in the TMS and report weekly performance metrics
What You Need
- Self-starter with a hunter mentality and strong drive to exceed targets
- Excellent problem-solving skills under time pressure
- Team player who communicates clearly across departments
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational habits
Requirements
- 1+ years of freight brokerage or logistics sales experience
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Familiarity with TMS platforms and load boards (DAT, Truckstop)
- Ability to work in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or related field preferred
