Description
We're looking for an experienced Dispatch Supervisor to lead our Houston operations team. You'll oversee a team of dispatchers, manage real-time freight coverage, resolve service escalations, and drive operational efficiency across our network. This is a leadership role for someone who has mastered the floor and is ready to elevate their career.
What You'll Do
- Supervise and mentor a team of 5–10 dispatchers across multiple shifts
- Manage real-time load coverage and carrier assignment for the region
- Escalate and resolve service failures, delays, and customer complaints
- Report daily on team performance, on-time delivery, and load status
- Collaborate with sales and customer success to align capacity with demand

- Proven ability to lead teams in a high-pressure, time-sensitive environment
- Strong decision-making under uncertainty
- Data-driven approach to monitoring and improving team performance
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to motivate people
Requirements
- 3+ years of logistics or freight dispatch experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role
- Deep knowledge of truckload operations and carrier management
- Proficiency with TMS platforms and dispatch tools
- Strong leadership, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills
- Availability for on-call coverage as needed
